I work as the Executive Director of the Production Division at a company called Samurai Sword Inc. Despite being a small company, we collaborate with creators on a project-by-project basis to produce TV commercials, web commercials, PR videos, and more.
I also plan and operate services that I find interesting and challenge myself with new things every day!
For video editing software, I use After Effects and Premiere Pro, and I plan to take on the 3D field in the future.
I had never used a left-hand device before, but I recently started using Orbital2 and was blown away.
Until now, I couldn’t take my left hand off the keyboard, but for the first time, my left hand was freed from it.
The keyboard felt a little lonely, but I was happy to have gained a new partner.
It felt like when Luigi joins as a companion in Super Mario.
The ability to create your own profiles and customize them according to your needs gives it great versatility.
Since profiles can be created for each creative software, so far I’ve only tried it with After Effects and Premiere Pro, but I plan to create profiles for other software as well. Thanks to Orbital2, I feel I can now work with design software in a slightly different way than before!
Assigning "Option" or "Shift" to the switches allows you to enter expressions and move keyframes with just your left hand. After assigning these to Orbital2, I hardly touch the keyboard anymore. Aside from entering expressions, I barely use it at all.
Additionally, by creating profiles tailored to editing or cutting scenarios, seamless work has become possible. I no longer need to constantly touch the keyboard, which also contributes to improved work efficiency.
By registering your frequently used shortcuts in Orbital2 for After Effects, Premiere Pro, as well as Illustrator or Photoshop, you can work more intuitively and further customize it to your liking for even greater usability! You can also assign macros to automate standard actions with a single click, making it adaptable to various situations.
I believe that by using Orbital2 in creative work, we can protect not only our elbows and arms but also our bodies as a whole.
Some people say it’s difficult to get used to Orbital2 at first, but creators such as Dustman have released explanatory videos, so you can learn recommended settings and usage methods from them. Since presets are also available for download, I think you’ll quickly experience the intuitive operation of Orbital2!
Creators should definitely give it a try!
