4.How to introduce 【 Mac version 】

1. Installation of the USB Driver (Silicon Labs)

Firstly, download and install the driver corresponding with the operating system you are using from here
*If you are using the Orbital2 on the Yosemite (Mac OS X 10.10), please check here

Download the driver (SILICON LABS) on the moved page. Download software for MAC OS X (v5) Download the DMG file by clicking "Download VCP"

After the download is complete, double-click the DMG file, and mount it.
After unpacking, open the folder, select the package file (.pkg), and start the installation.

After the driver installation, restart your PC.
*If there is a file being edited, please save it before installation finishes.

2. Installation of the USB driver (Prolific Drivers)

Firstly, download and install the driver corresponding with the operating system you are using from here.
Download the driver (Prolific Drivers) from the following page;
The zip file is downloaded when you click Mac: PL2303 Prolific Mac OS/OS X 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, 10.12 and 10.13, v1.6.1.

After the download is complete, select the zip file and unzip it.
After unpacking, open the folder, select the package file (.pkg), and start the installation.

After the driver installation, the PC restarts.
*If there is a file being edited, please save it before installation finishes.

3. Installation of the Orbital2 application

Install the Orbital2 application from here.
Select the downloaded disk image file (.dmg) and start installation.

After installation, move the Orbital2 application to the folder and it will be completed.

4. Adding an ABC keyboard

After the application is installed, open “System Preferences” and select keyboard.
Select the input source and press the + button on the bottom left.

After selecting English from the list on the left, select "ABC" in the list on the right and press the Add button in the lower right corner of the screen.

5. Security and Privacy Settings

After the above settings, open the “System Preferences” again and select “Security & Privacy”. Press the Open button on the bottom right.

After you press the Open button, the Orbital2 application will start.

6. Download additional profiles

Download the profile of your choice from here.

7. How to introduce various application profiles

Copy the retrieved profile data to the profiles folder of the installed software. The retrieved profile becomes available.

The Orbital2 profile and command list are stored in the following path folder:

/User/{login username}/O2/profiles

Example: /Users/brainmagic/O2/profiles

8. How to connect your Orbital2 and your PC

After the Orbital2 application starts, connect the Orbital2 & Mac through USB.
Click the pop-up that appears in the top right.

When the pop-up opens, press the “Reconnect” button.

The display is changed while connecting (blinking green) or the Orbital2 Glow Ring is emitted, you can see that it is connected.

Open “System Preferences” and select “Security and Privacy” Press the Open button that is in the bottom right

After pressing the Open button, the Orbital2 application will start up.
